He died yesterday. Priest Gallo was more than the best priest on earth, he was an amazing human being. I’m from his city and I’ve been honored to meet him in his Church and I’m saying this as an agnostic person. I’ll go to his funeral.
WHO WAS HE?
#DonGallo has been at the gay pride when the Church establishment forbid him to go.
#DonGallo said: ”How do you judge love? Love is like a Van Gogh painting filled with sunlight. And sunlight is for everyone”.
#DonGallo said “I don’t care whether you are believers or not. I only wonder if you’re credible as persons”.
# DonGallo has been a partisan during the second world war.
# DonGallo openly stood up for divorce.
# DonGallo has been committed to the register of civil gay unions, established in Genoa this week
# DonGallo said “I dream of a Church that doesn’t divide, that is not always ready to condemn, I dream a Church that is like a supportive companion”
# DonGallo has been the most human chaplain of the prison.
# DonGallo has been the most human chaplain to the children reformatory ‘Garaventa’: he introduced new educational settings, confidence and freedom in place of repressive methods… and that’s why he has been removed.
# DonGallo said “The most important thing is that we keep on trying to make the poors count, to make them have a word: the poors, which means the people who have never counted»
# DonGallo has smoked marjuana in the hall of the Major against the decision of pursuing personal use of marijuana as a criminal act
# DonGallo was a “priest with one foot on the road and one in the church.”
# DonGallo used to get very angry when they called him “priest AGAINST the establishment”.. he said “I’m not against, I’ am a priest FOR …”.
#DonGallo founded and directed for over 40 years a recovering community for people with drug problems.
#DonGallo welcomed and defended transexuals and homosexuals from injury
#DonGallo fighted the ipocricy of the establishment his whole life
#DonGallo welcomed homeless people.
#DonGallo was friend with all the most important songrwiters and poets of Italy.
He had got wit and sense of humour and he was one of the most human beings I’ve even been honored to meet.
I remember I’ve been at a baptism that ended up with us in suits all elegant and the homeless he welcomed during the mass all dirty smiling between us in the official pictures.
He’ll be missed.

THANKS GIRLS/BOYS FOR REBLOGGING THIS POST OF MINE, IT MEANS A LOT TO ME.

"‘What of art?’
‘It is a malady.’
‘Love?’
‘An illusion.’
‘Religion?’
‘A fashionable substitute for belief.’
‘You are a sceptic.’
‘Never! Scepticism is the beginning of faith.’
‘What are you?’
‘To define is to limit.’"

This photo is gorgeous.

I

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhahhhhhhhh

There is a fine line between artistic and “If you got that back from Boots after getting your 35mm film developed you’d be pissed it hadn’t come out.”

What is he wearing?

The pants and shoes look like normal Sherlock attire

But what’s draped across him?

IS IT THE SHEET? ARE WE GETTING MORE SHEETLOCK?
